Thirteen countries, four gateways
Britex has presence and yards across East, North East and Southern Africa, working the corridors that serve them.
Britex is headquartered in Mombasa, and the Port of Mombasa is the gateway most of our cargo passes through. It is not the only one. Ethiopia is served through Djibouti, Zambia and Burundi through Dar es Salaam, Malawi up from Beira and Nacala, and northern Tanzania across the border from Kenya rather than up from its own coast.
Each page below covers one country: the gateway that serves it, the corridor cargo travels on, the border posts in between, and what actually moves in each direction. Choosing the right door is usually worth more than shaving a day off the sailing.

Not sure which gateway your cargo should use?
Several of these markets are reachable on more than one corridor, and the right answer changes with the season, the rate, and what is happening at the border. Tell us the destination and we’ll work it out with you. We handle 13 countries and are on the Mombasa gateway every day.
