This website is operated by Britex Enterprises Company Limited, trading as Britex Enterprises and shown on this site as BECL, of 6th Floor, Canon Towers, Moi Avenue, Mombasa, Kenya. Where these terms say “we”, “us” or “Britex”, they mean that company.

By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

It describes what Britex does and gives you ways to get in touch. The information on it is general and is published in good faith, but it is not advice and it is not a quotation.

That applies particularly to anything about routes. Gateway ports, corridors, border posts, distances and the commodities that move on a lane are all published as background, not as a commitment about your cargo. We do not publish transit times against a route, and nothing on this site is a delivery promise. What your shipment will actually take is something we quote against the shipment itself.

Sending us an enquiry, whether through a form, by email or by phone, does not create a contract and does not oblige us to accept the work.

A quotation is only binding when we have issued it in writing for your specific cargo and route and you have accepted it. Quotations are based on the information you give us. If the cargo, route, timing or documentation turns out to be different, the price and the plan may change.

Receiving, handling, storing, clearing and hauling cargo is governed by the written agreement between us for that shipment, together with the transport documents issued for it and the law that applies to them. Where that agreement and this website differ, the agreement governs.

If you want to know the terms on which we would handle a particular consignment, ask us before booking and we will set them out.

You may read, browse and print pages for your own use. You may not:

• Copy or republish substantial parts of the site as your own material.
• Use the site, or anything on it, for anything unlawful or misleading.
• Try to gain unauthorised access to the site, the server it runs on, or anything connected to it.
• Interfere with the site's operation, or place an unreasonable load on it, including by automated scraping.
• Present yourself as Britex, or as authorised to act for Britex, when you are not.

The text, layout, photographs, graphics and the Britex and BECL names and marks on this site belong to us or are used with permission. Nothing here transfers any of that to you.

If you want to reference or reproduce something from the site, ask us. We are usually happy to say yes.

Where we link somewhere else, it is because we think it is useful. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information.

We aim to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or current at every moment. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice.

This section is about the website. It does not limit anything about the cargo services, which the agreement for your shipment governs.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of this website or from relying on general information published on it, including indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of business. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

How we handle personal information from this site is set out in our privacy notice, which forms part of these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction over any dispute about them or about this website.

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and the version published here is the one that applies.
