This notice covers this website. It does not describe how we handle cargo documentation, customs filings, or the records we keep as part of moving a consignment. If you want to know about those, ask us and we will explain.

What you send us. If you use the contact form or the quote request, or email or call us, we receive your name, company, email address, phone number, and whatever cargo and route detail you give us.

The quote request does not transmit anything on its own. It assembles what you typed into an email in your own mail application, and nothing reaches us unless you press send. Until you do, the details stay on your device.

Server logs. Our web server records each request it receives: the IP address it came from, the page requested, the time, your browser’s user-agent string, and the page that referred you. This is ordinary web server behaviour, and we use it to keep the site secure and to diagnose faults. These logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.

• No cookies, no local storage, no device fingerprinting.
• No analytics or measurement tools of any kind.
• No advertising, remarketing or tracking pixels.
• No third-party requests. Fonts, images and everything else are served from our own server, so no other company sees your visit.
• We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we never will.

To answer your enquiry and to quote for your cargo. Under the Data Protection Act 2019, our lawful basis for handling what you send us is your consent in choosing to contact us. For the server logs, it is our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and working.

This website runs on a server in Lauterbourg, France, operated by Contabo GmbH. Requests to the site, and the logs they generate, are processed there, which means that information leaves Kenya. Enquiries you send by email or phone reach our team in Mombasa.

Server logs are deleted after 14 days.

Enquiries are kept while we are dealing with them, and afterwards for as long as we need them for our business records and to meet obligations under Kenyan tax and customs law. If you would like your enquiry deleted sooner, ask us and we will do it.

Under the Data Protection Act 2019 you can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong.
• Delete it.
• Stop using it, or object to how we are using it.
• Give you a copy in a portable form.

Write to info@britexenterprises.co.ke and we will respond. If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner in Kenya.

If how we handle personal information changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top changes too.
