Cargo to and from Rwanda
Reachable by two corridors, and the choice between them is commercial.
Rwanda is served by two corridors, and unlike most landlocked markets in the region it genuinely uses both. The Northern Corridor runs from Mombasa through Kampala and crosses at Gatuna, about 1,700 km. The Central Corridor runs from Dar es Salaam and crosses at Rusumo, roughly 1,400 km. Neither is permanently the right answer.
Which one a shipment takes comes down to port congestion, border conditions, and rate at the time of booking, so the useful thing is not to be tied to one. Britex works both, moves bonded cargo across either, and handles the transit formalities on the leg that applies. Kigali is the destination for most of it, and the logistics platform there is where clearance and deconsolidation usually happen.

We don’t publish transit times against a route. Distance and corridor are geography; what a specific container takes depends on the border, the season and the vessel. Ask us and we’ll commit to a timing against your actual shipment.
